Introduction To User Management

The User Management page allows administrators to view, search, and manage user accounts.

The new Last Accessed column makes it easier to track active accounts by showing the last date a user used Plutora. Last Accessed date is more informative than Last Login because a user can be logged in but not actively using Plutora. 


To search for users:

  1. Go to Settings > User Management.
  2. Type your search query into the Search for User field.
    Or:
  3. Select a user from the Search for User drop-down menu.
  4. Click Search.
    Clear your search by clicking Clear.

The buttons along the top of the User Management page are:

The grid column selector is the set of search fields and menus at the top of the data columns, under the column headers.

To filter Users:

  1. Go to Settings > User Management.
  2. Click the grid column filter for the following columns:
    • First Name.
    • Last Name.
    • Email.
    • Portfolio Association.
    • User Groups.
    • Status.
    • User Role.
    • Activation Date.
    • Last Login.
  3. If the grid column filter is a:
    1. Search field: Type a search term.
    2. Drop down menu: Click to select a list item.
    3. Combo box: Click to select one or more checkboxes.
    4. Date field: Select a date and click Done.
  4. Press the Enter key to run the filter.
  5. To clear a filter, click the gray cross.

The following columns lack a grid column filter:

  • Is from AD:
    • Means “Is from Active Directory”.
    • Users that were added through SSO will have a “Yes”.
    • Users that were added by adding a user through Plutora will have a “No”.
  • User Level Action:
    • Contains the Edit, Reset, and Delete buttons.


To sort users:

  1. Go to Settings > User Management.
  2. Click a column header:
    1. Once to sort in ascending order.
    2. Twice to sort in descending order.
  3. A green arrow pointing in the sort direction will appear on the column header.
  4. Refresh your browser to clear sort patterns.

It is possible to set which columns will display.

To show or hide columns using the grid column selector headings:

  1. Hover your mouse cursor over the right-hand side of a header until the header menu button appears.

  2. Click the header menu button and select Columns.

  3. Click to select column checkboxes.

Query Builder allows users to create and save their own private searches and use public searches. (No users permissions are associated with creating public searches.)

Click the right side Query Builder button   to open the quick access menu, which lists private and public queries.
