PIR Item – Root Cause Status Customization

PIR Item – Root Cause Statuses are selected when adding or editing a PIR Item in PIR Manager.

When overdue, if the status is not an End State, it will be red with white text.

Location of PIR Item – Root Cause Statuses in PIR Manager

PIR Item – Root Cause Status Customization populates the Status drop-down menu of Root Causes under the Root Cause Analysis and Actions tab when adding or editing a PIR Item.

To locate the drop-down Status menu where PIR Item – Root Cause Status Customization is used:

  1. Go to PIR > Manager.
  2. Click Summary to open a PIR Item.
  3. Scroll down to the Root Cause Analysis and Actions tab.
  4. View the Status drop-down menu:
    1. Open a Root Cause:
      1. Click a Root Cause.
    2. Or click Add New and then select New Root Cause.

 

Add a PIR Item – Root Cause Status

To add a PIR Item – Root Cause Status:

  1. Go to Settings > Customization > Post Implementation Review (PIR).
  2. Click PIR Item – Root Cause Status.
  3. Click Add Field.
  4. Type the new Value.
  5. Double click the Color column and select a color from the drop-down menu or enter a Hex value.
  6. Click to select the Status End-State/s checkbox if you do not want the PIR Item status to highlight when due date has been passed.
  7. Click to select the Default checkbox to make the item appear by default in the drop-down menu.
  8. Click Submit.
    The yellow Your changes have been saved pop up opens and closes.
    If you click away from the Customization page without clicking Submit, your changes will not save.

 

 

Edit a PIR Item – Root Cause Status

To edit a PIR Item – Root Cause Status:

  1. Go to Settings > Customization > Post Implementation Review (PIR).
  2. Click PIR Item – Root Cause Status.
  3. Click to select the PIR Item – Root Cause Status.
  4. Click Edit Field.
  5. Edit the Value.
  6. Double click the Color column and select a color from the drop-down menu or enter a Hex value.
  7. Click to select the Status End-State/s checkbox if you do not want the PIR Item status to highlight when due date has been passed.
  8. Click to select the Default checkbox to make the item appear by default in the drop-down menu.
  9. Click Submit.
    The yellow Your changes have been saved pop up opens and closes.
    If you click away from the Customization page without clicking Submit, your changes will not save.

 

 

Sort PIR Item – Root Cause Statuses

Sort Manually

Sorting PIR Item – Root Cause Statuses manually changes their order in drop-down menus.

Refresh your browser to sort manually after sorting alphabetically. 

To sort PIR Item – Root Cause Statuses manually:

  1. Go to Settings> Customization > Post Implementation Review (PIR).
  2. Click PIR Item – Root Cause Status.
  3. Hover your mouse cursor over the sort column.
    The sort handle (six gray dots) appears.
  4. Left click and drag the sort handle to resort the PIR Item – Root Cause Status.
  5. Click Submit.
    The yellow Your changes have been saved pop up opens and closes.
    If you click away from the Customization page without clicking Submit, your changes will not save.

Sort by Column Header

Sorting PIR Item – Root Cause Statuses by column header only changes their order on the Customization page.

To sort alphabetically on the Customization page by column header:

  1. Go to Settings> Customization > Post Implementation Review (PIR).
  2. Click PIR Item – Root Cause Status.
  3. Click a column header.
    The PIR Item – Root Cause Statuses will revert to their previous order when you click away from the Customization page.

 

 

Delete or Replace a PIR Item – Root Cause Status

Deleting a PIR Item – Root Cause Status will not delete it from PIR Item records. But it will no longer be available when adding or editing a PIR Item.

Replacing a PIR Item – Root Cause Status will replace it in existing PIR Item records.

To delete or replace a PIR Item – Root Cause Status:

  1. Go to Settings> Customization > Post Implementation Review (PIR).
  2. Click PIR Item – Root Cause Status.
  3. Click to select the PIR Item – Root Cause Status.
  4. Click Delete Field.
  5. Choose one of the following:
    1. Delete and Replace:
      1. Select the item that will replace the deleted PIR Item – Root Cause Status from Replace with.
      2. Click Delete and Replace.
        Your updates will be automatically saved. There is no need to click Submit.
    2. Delete:
      1. Click Delete.
        Your updates will be automatically saved. There is no need to click Submit.
