TECR Type Customization

Introduction

You select TECR Types when adding or editing a TECR.

Pre-requisite

To be able to customize the TECR Type, you must have ‘Access Customizations’ User Permission

Settings  > Customization > Environments > TECR Type
 

Add a TECR Type

To add a TECR Type:

  1. Navigate to the ‘Customization’ page and double click Environments.
  2. Click TECR Type.
  3. Click .
  4. The system adds a line on the grid for the new field. To edit an existing Type, search and click on the Type from the grid and then click .
  5. Enter the following:

ValueEnter the new TECR Type.
Default Assigned ToDouble click and select a user or user group from the drop-down menu.
ColorDouble click and select a color from the drop-down menu or enter a Hex value.
Default Type for Maintenance BenchSelect if required.
DefaultClick to make the item appear by default in the drop-down menu.
  1. Click .

Your changes will be saved and a confirmation message will display.

Sort TECR Type

Sort Manually

Sorting ‘TECR Type’ manually changes their order in the drop-down menus

To sort manually:

  1. On the ‘Customization’ page, navigate to Environments > TECR Type. 
  2. Hover your mouse cursor over the sort column of the Value that you want to sort.  appears.
  3. Drag and drop the Value as you require.
  4. Click .

Your changes will be saved and a confirmation message will display.

Sort by Column Header

Sorting by column header only changes their order on the ‘Customization’ page.

To sort alphabetically on the ‘Customization’ page by column header, click on the column header. ↑ or ↓ displays indicating the ascending or descending column sort.

Delete/Replace TECR Type

Deleting a TECR Type will not delete it from the Environment records. But it will no longer be available when adding or editing an Environment.

While deleting, you can either select another item that will replace the item to be deleted or simply delete the item from the list. Replacing a TECR Type will replace it in existing records.

To delete or replace a TECR Type:

  1. Navigate to the ‘Customization’ page and double click Environment.
  2. Click TECR Type.
  3. Select the Type that you want to delete or replace. 
  4. Click .
  5. The ‘Replace with existing value’ dialog displays. 
    • To replace: select the item that will replace the item to be deleted from Replace with. Then click .
    • To simply delete the item, click .

The item is now deleted and the page navigates back to the ‘Customization’ page.

Enforce TECR Type Standard Colors Across Plutora

When users can add their own hex color to TECR Types, Plutora can get very colorful, very quickly.

To prevent users from adding their own hex color to TECR Types:

  1. Select the Enforce CR Type Standard Colors across Plutora checkbox.
  2. Click .

Update Existing TECR Types to Match Standard Colors

TECR Types may have non-standard colors if users have had permission to add their own colors.

To change all non-standard colors back to the standard TECR Type colors, click Update existing CR types to match Standard Colors. Then click . All the existing user-defined colors will be overridden and back to standard colors.

Location of TECR Type

To locate the TECR Type field:

  1. Go to Environment > Requests.
  2. Click the TECR tab (if it isn’t open already).
  3. Click to open a TECR.

The TECR Type field is located in the TECR Details panel under the Details tab.
