Systems – Subtypes Customization provides users with up to two new custom Systems Subtypes to make it easier to track Systems impacts. The custom Systems Subtypes appear under the Systems tab of Enterprise, Project, and Independent Releases.
There are also two default Systems Subtypes, which also appear under the Systems tab:
- Code Implementation Dependency: Enterprise, Project, and Independent Releases.
- Regression Verification Dependency: Project, and Independent Releases only.

Location of Systems Subtypes
TEBR Pop Up
Go to Environment > Requests > TEBR tab and add or edit a TEBR.
View/Edit Release Pop Ups
Systems Subtypes appear under the Systems tab of the View/Edit Enterprise, Project and Independent Releases pop ups.
Go to Release > Manager > Releases toggle button and add or edit a Release.
Users can drag and drop their Systems from the left-hand Systems Available column into the System Subtypes in the right-hand column which include:
- Code Implementation Dependency: To show that the System is impacted by the Release.
- Regression Verification Dependency: To show that the Release poses a regression risk to the System.
- And the up to two custom Systems Subtypes.
System Impact Matrix
The System Impact Matrix displays a diagram of Systems subtypes interacting with each Release. Click the Legend button to see them listed.
Add or Edit a custom Systems Subtype
To add a custom Systems Subtype:
- Go to Settings
> Customization > Releases.
- Click Systems – Subtype Customization.
- Add: Click Add Field.
Edit:- Click to select the Systems Subtype.
- Click Edit Field.
- Type or edit the Systems – Subtype Customization in the Value field.
See Enabling or Disabling Systems – Subtype Customization below for how to use the Enabled checkbox. - Double click the Color column and select a color from the drop-down menu or enter a Hex value.
- Click Submit.
The yellow Your changes have been saved pop up opens and closes.
If you click away from the Customization page without clicking Submit, your changes will not save.
Enabling or Disabling Systems – Subtype Customization
Once you have added custom Systems Subtypes, you can enable or disable them.
Systems – Subtype Customization has been updated to make it more usable:
- Now, instead of a single Enabled checkbox, each custom Systems Subtype has its own Enabled checkbox.
- Users can enable or disable each custom Systems Subtype separately.
- The Code Implementation Dependency and Regression Verification Dependency subtypes are the default and always enabled.
Before the custom Systems subtypes can appear under the Systems tab of the View/Edit Enterprise, Project and Independent Releases pop ups, or in the System Impact Matrix, the feature must be enabled.
To enable or disable Systems – Subtype Customization:
- Go to Settings
> Customization > Releases.
- Click Systems – Subtype Customization.
- Click to select and enable, or deselect and disable, one or both the two custom Systems Subtype checkboxes.
The Code Implementation Dependency and Regression Verification Dependency checkboxes cannot be deselected and are always grayed out.
- Click Submit.
The yellow Your changes have been saved pop up opens and closes.
If you click away from the Customization page without clicking Submit, your changes will not save.
Sort Systems Subtypes
Sort Manually
Sorting Systems – Subtype Customizations manually changes their order in the:
- Systems tab when adding or editing Enterprise, Project, or Independent Releases.
- System Impact Matrix.
To sort Systems – Subtype Customizations manually:
- Go to Settings
> Customization > Releases.
- Click Systems – Subtype Customization.
- Hover your mouse cursor over the sort column.
The sort handle (six gray dots) appears.
- Left click and drag the sort handle to resort the Systems – Subtype Customization.
- Click Submit.
The yellow Your changes have been saved pop up opens and closes.
If you click away from the Customization page without clicking Submit, your changes will not save.
Sort by Column Header
Sorting Systems – Subtype Customizations by column header only changes their order on the Customization page.
To sort alphabetically on the Customization page by column header:
- Go to Settings
> Customization > Releases.
- Click Systems – Subtype Customization.
- Click a column header.
The Systems – Subtype Customizations will revert to their previous order when you click away from the Customization page.
Delete a Systems – Subtype Customization
Deleting a Systems – Subtype Customization will disassociate all its Systems from the Releases and TEBRs they have been associated with. Disassociated Systems will be available when adding or editing new, and existing Releases, and TEBRs.
To delete a custom Systems – Subtype Customization:
- Go to Settings
> Customization > Releases.
- Click Systems – Subtype Customization.
- Click to select the Systems – Subtype Customization.
- Click Delete Field.
- Click Submit.
The yellow Your changes have been saved pop up opens and closes.
If you click away from the Customization page without clicking Submit, your changes will not save.
