Requirements Folder View can be toggled by clicking the Folder View button on the Requirements page.
Requirements that have been added without a folder association, and Plutora Changes, can be found in the default folder at the top of the folder list. In the screenshot below the default folder is called demo (default).
Manage Folders
To manage folders:
- Click Requirements.
- Click Folder View.
- Default folder

- Add a subfolder to the default folder:
- Click to select the default folder.
- Click + New Folder or the new folder button that appears when the folder is clicked.
- Select a Project or Release to associate with the new folder.
The Project or Release association cannot be edited later. The new folder (and any child folders anyone creates later) will only be visible to those with the permission to view the Release. - Click Save.
- Add folder to subfolder of the default folder:
- Edit folder name:
- Delete folder:

Filter Folders
All users can see the default folder.
Users will see all the folders belonging to Projects or Releases that they have permission to view or all folders if they have administrative privileges.
Folders can be further filtered by selecting a Project or Release from the Select Project/Release drop-down menu, which will show only those folders associated with the Project or Release and the default folder.
Advanced Search will only filter the Requirements inside the folders, not the folders themselves.
Manage and Sort Requirements
To manage Requirements (and Plutora Changes) in Folder View:
- Hover the mouse cursor over the left-hand side of the Requirement until the cursor changes into the cross-shaped move cursor. Then you can:
- Sort Requirements:
- Drag and drop a Requirement inside the folder to manually sort it (you cannot move the Requirement outside the folder using this cursor).
- Create Child and Parent Requirements:
- Drag and drop a Requirement to the right and below another Requirement to make it a child of that Requirement.
- Sort Requirements:
- Drag and drop Requirements from their middle section to:
- Move Requirements between folders.
