Functionality Enhancements

Now when your Release schedules change, the dates of your Phases and Gates and their associated Activities can be changed even faster.

Bulk Update Phases and Gates

  • Previously, when an Enterprise, Project and Independent Release’s schedule changed, the dates of the Release’s Phases and Gates had to be manually changed one by one.
  • Now the new Bulk Update feature lets you select multiple Phases and Gates and change their dates quickly and easily.
  • You can slide Phase and Gate start or end dates forward and backward by any number of days.
  • You can choose new start or end dates for selected Phases and Gates.
  • Using the new Release Activities Smart Move feature, you can move associated Activities and Criteria too.

Now your weekends and Blockout Periods can be factored into the duration of your Releases’ Phases and Gates.

For example:

  • A Phase that starts on June 1, and ends on July 1, is 30 days long without weekends or Blockout Periods.
  • But there are 4 weekends (8 days) in June and there is a Blockout Period of 5 days in the middle of the month.
  • If you exclude weekends only, the duration of the Phase is 22 days.
  • If you exclude Blockout Periods only, the duration of the Phase is 25 days.
  • If you exclude weekends and Blockout Periods, the duration of the Phase is 17 days.
