Functionality Enhancements

Deployment Plan Activities now have a Gantt chart view.

“As a Deployment Plan Owner, I want to see a Timeline (Gantt chart) view showing the activities and their dependencies of my deployment plans and any associated deployment plans.

Deployment Plan Timeline

  • Now, users of Deployment Plans can:
    • See Deployment Plan Activities and their dependencies in a Gantt chart view.
    • Link Dependency Types between Activities from Child Deployment Plans and their Master Deployment Plans and vice versa.
    • Update dependencies, and Activity dates and durations in the Gantt chart.
    • Give Deployment Plan Activities:
      • Dependency Types, which now match project standards:
        • Finish-to-Start (F-S): The finish date of one Activity drives the start date of another.
          Finish-to-Start (F-S) is the default.
        • Start-to-Start (S-S): The start date of one Activity drives the start date of another.
        • Finish-to-Finish (F-F): The finish date of one Activity drives the finish date of another.
        • Start to Finish (S-F): The start date of one Activity drives the finish date of another.
      • Durations, by setting a start or end date, and then setting the duration in hours, days, and minutes.
      • Milestones, which now have a single start date and time to match project standards.
  • The following client migration updates will be executed on customer data as part of the release:
    • Empty Dependency Types: All empty Dependency Types will be updated to Finish-to-Start (F-S).
    • Circular Dependency References: Activities or Milestones with circular dependency references will have them removed.
    • Milestones: Any Activities which have different start and end dates and are marked as Milestones will have their Milestone indicator removed, and a new Milestone will be created using the end date. The relevant status will be retained for both.
Release Templates are now in the Favorites menu.

“As a Release Manager, I want to mark the Release Templates I use all the time as Favorites so I can quickly navigate to them.”

Release Template Favorites

See the list of Releases you are bulk deleting before you delete them.

“As a Release Manager, I want to see and confirm the list of Releases I’ve selected to be bulk deleted so that I only delete the correct Releases.”

Release Bulk Delete Enhancement

  • Now, the bulk delete confirmation pop up lists all the Releases that are about to be deleted, so you can confirm that the correct Releases have been selected.

Notify users that they have submitted a TEBR that has less than the minimum number of days required for actioning that TEBR.

“As an Environment Manager, I want someone who has submitted a TEBR with insufficient lead time to be notified and asked to update their TEBR.”

TEBR Lead Time

  • Now, when a user submits a TEBR with an insufficient lead time, they can be automatically notified that their request does not adhere to company policy.
    • Choose to automatically add two additional days to the TEBR’s lead time if it goes over a weekend.
Three new API requests.

“As a Release Manager, I would like to create Releases from Release Templates using the API.”
