Functionality Enhancements
“As a Plutora Administrator, I want my users to be prevented from using easily-guessed passwords, so my site is more secure.”
Security Enhancements
- Now:
- Password complexity rules are enforced for all users and can no longer be set manually.
- There’s a new restricted password list to make passwords more secure.
- User accounts will be locked after five unsuccessful login attempts and the allowed number of unsuccessful attempts can no longer be set manually.
“As an Environment Manager, I want to select multiple Environments within an Environment Group on a TEBR form, so I can create multiple bookings at once.”
Environment Selection Enhancements
- Now:
- TEBRs (with or without a Release) now have a Select All checkbox (like Releases) so that multiple Environments within an Environment Group can be selected at once.
- Selected Environments in Enterprise, Project, and Independent Releases and TEBRs (with or without a Release) can be booked for a Release Phase without toggling the Phase to On first.
“As a Release Manager, I want to use the API to manage my Impacted and Regression Systems for Changes, so they are automatically updated via an integration layer.”
Change System Dependencies API
- Now, the users of Plutora’s API can retrieve the Downstream Dependency Systems of Changes using the following call:
- GET /changes/{id}/systems
“As a Release Manager, I want to add an Impacted System to a Change and automatically see all the associated Downstream Systems as Regression Systems, so that I am informed of regression risks.“
System Enhancements
- Now:
- System Upstream and Downstream Dependencies are consistent when adding or bulk updating Systems:
- If System A is an Upstream Dependency for System B, System B will show as a Downstream Dependency for System A.
- Logic has been added to prevent the creation of circular dependencies for Upstream and Downstream Systems.
- You can now Live Search for Systems while bulk updating.
- Audit History for Systems now includes the addition and removal of Upstream and Downstream Dependencies.
- To make the meanings clearer and the labels consistent, Code Implementation Dependency has been renamed Impacted Systems and Regression Verification Dependency has been renamed Regression Systems when:
- Adding or editing a Change.
- Under the Systems tab while bulk updating Releases and bulk updating Release Templates, adding or editing Enterprise, Project, and Independent Releases, and adding or editing Enterprise, Project, and Independent Release Templates.
- Updating System Subtype Customization.
- Updated TEBRs (with and without a Release) in the System Details panel and the Systems pop up.
- Viewing System Impact Matrix’s legend.
- When adding or editing a Change:
- Dragging and dropping a System which has Downstream Dependencies into the Impacted System or Regression System panels will automatically add those dependencies to the Regression Systems panel as grayed-out and not clickable records marked (downstream dependency).
- Deleted Systems will appear as grayed-out and not clickable records marked (deleted). Deleted System dependencies will not be shown.
- Logic has been added to prevent the creation of circular dependencies.
- System Upstream and Downstream Dependencies are consistent when adding or bulk updating Systems:
“As a Release Manager, I want to add comments to my Enterprise Release’s child releases, so that my users can track instructions and make sure Stakeholders are aware of their next actions.”
Manifest Tab Comments
- Now, comments can be added to child releases under the Enterprise Release’s Release Manifest tab.
