Filter, View, and Search Test Designer

The Test Designer page allows users to view, associate, search, and filter Test Plans and Test Cases.

Filter Test Plans

To filter Test Plans:

1. Click Test Designer.
   
2. Where are Test Plans located?:
   • Test Plans appear in the left-hand column when Test Case Library is toggled.
3. Filter Test Plans:
   • By Project or Release by using the Select Project/Release field.
     
   • By Test Plan name using the Your Test Plans field.
     

View a Test Plan’s Test Cases

To view a Test Plan’s Test Cases:

1. Click Test Designer.
   
2. Click to select a Test Plan.
   
3. To see Test Cases associated with Requirements or Test Case Folders:
   1. Click the Requirements or Test Case Folders tab.
      
      1. Requirements tab:
         • Shows only the Requirements that are linked to the Test Plan.
         • Clicking each Requirement will show the Test Cases linked to that Requirement.
         • Not all the Test Cases linked to the Test Plan may appear here, as not every Test Case may be linked to a Requirement.
      2. Test Case Folders tab:
         • Shows Test Case Folders which have the number of Test Cases per folder shown.
           
         • Click each folder to see the Test Cases.
         • Not all the Test Cases linked to the Test Plan may appear here, as some may be linked to a Requirement but not to a Test Case Folder.
4. To see all the Test Cases associated with a Test Plan:
   1. Click Test Case Library.
      
   2. Search for the Test Plan.
      
   3. Click the Associated tab to see all the Test Cases associated with the Test Plan, whether they are associated with Requirements or Test Case Folders.
