Functionality Enhancements

Triggered emails are now sent one minute after a user’s update to prevent multiple notification emails.

“As a user of Plutora, I don’t want to be emailed twenty times if a user makes twenty updates in a TEBR or Release in under a minute. I just want a single email with all of the user’s changes.”

Triggered Email Enhancement

  • Previously, when a user updated Entities, such as TEBRs or Releases, each updated field could potentially result in a notification email:
    • For example, associating 16 Environments with a TEBR resulted in 16 emails.
  • Now, triggered emails are sent one minute after a user’s update for all Entities:
    • If a user makes multiple updates, with each update being less than a minute after the previous update, those updates will appear in a single notification email one minute after the final update has been made.
    • For example, associating 16 Environments with a TEBR will now only result in one email.

Edit Change Custom Fields directly in the Change grid.

“As a Release Manager, I want the Change grid to function like Microsoft Excel, so I can click on custom fields and edit them directly.”

Change Grid Edit Mode

Two new ways to use Plutora’s API.

“As an Environment Manager, I want to update and add Systems Stakeholders. Now I can do both using the API.”

API Enhancements

  • Previously, Plutora API only had GET /systems/{id}/stakeholders.
  • Now, the following API enhancements have been added:
    • POST /systems/{id}/stakeholders
    • PUT /systems/{id}/stakeholders/{userId}
Book Environments for less time than an overall TEBR.

“As an Environment Manager, I want to save time, maximize Environment availability, and make it easier for approvers, by booking multiple Environments for different times on the same booking request.”

TEBR Enhancement

Date format can now be set from Plutora Test.

“As a QA Manager in the United States, I want dates to be formatted MM/DD/YYYY.”

Date Localization

  • Previously, dates in Plutora Test were formatted DD/MM/YYYY.
  • Now, there are three choices of date format:
    • MM/DD/YYYY: Month/Day/Year – USA date format.
    • DD/MM/YYYY: Day/Month/Year – UK, India, Latin America, Oceania date format.
    • YYYY/MM/DD: Year/Month/Day – ISO 8601 date format.
  • Setting the date format in Plutora Test now sets it for Plutora and vice versa.
