External Systems Customization

External Systems are selected when adding or editing a Change under the External Resources tab.

Location of External Systems in Change

Go to Release > Change, then click a blue link to open a Change, then click the External Resources tab.

External Systems Customization populates the External System drop-down menu in the image below.

Clicking to select the Add To Template checkbox in External Systems Customization will make the External System appear by default under the External Resources tab of new Changes.

 

 

Add an External System

To add an External System:

  1. Go to Settings > Customization > Integration.
  2. Click External Systems.
  3. Click Add Field.
  4. Type the new Value.
  5. Click to select the Add To Template checkbox to make the External System appear by default on new Changes under the External Resources tab.
  6. Click Submit.
    The yellow Your changes have been saved pop up opens and closes.
    If you click away from the Customization page without clicking Submit, your changes will not save.

 

Edit an External System

To edit an External System:

  1. Go to Settings > Customization > Integration.
  2. Click External Systems.
  3. Click to select the External System.
  4. Click Edit Field.
  5. Edit the Value.
  6. Click to select the Add To Template checkbox to make the External System appear by default on new Changes under the External Resources tab.
  7. Click Submit.
    The yellow Your changes have been saved pop up opens and closes.
    If you click away from the Customization page without clicking Submit, your changes will not save.

 

Sort External Systems

Sort Manually

Sorting External Systems manually does not currently change anything in Plutora.

Refresh your browser to sort manually after sorting alphabetically. 

To sort External Systems manually:

  1. Go to Settings > Customization > Integration.
  2. Click External System.
  3. Hover your mouse cursor over the sort column.
    The sort handle (six gray dots) appears.
  4. Left click and drag the sort handle to resort the External System.
  5. Click Submit.
    The yellow Your changes have been saved pop up opens and closes.
    If you click away from the Customization page without clicking Submit, your changes will not save.

Sort by Column Header

Sorting External Systems by column header only changes their order on the Customization page.

To sort alphabetically on the Customization page by column header:

  1. Go to Settings > Customization > Integration.
  2. Click External System.
  3. Click a column header.
    The External Systems will revert to their previous order when you click away from the Customization page.

 

Delete an External System

Deleting an External System will not delete it from Plutora. But it will no longer be available when creating a new Change.

To delete an External System:

  1. Go to Settings > Customization > Integration.
  2. Click External System.
  3. Click to select the External System.
  4. Click Delete Field.
  5. Click Submit.
    The yellow Your changes have been saved pop up opens and closes.
    If you click away from the Customization page without clicking Submit, your changes will not save.
