External Change Type Customization

External Change Types are selected when adding or editing a Change under the External Resources tab.

Location of External Change Types in Change

Go to Release > Change, then click a blue link to open a Change, then click the External Resources tab.

External Change Types Customization populates the External Change Type drop-down menu in the image below.

 

 

Add an External Change Type

To add an External Change Type:

  1. Go to Settings > Customization > Integration.
  2. Click External Change Types.
  3. Click Add Field.
  4. Type the new Value.
  5. Click Submit.
    The yellow Your changes have been saved pop up opens and closes.
    If you click away from the Customization page without clicking Submit, your changes will not save.

 

Edit an External Change Type

To edit an External Change Type:

  1. Go to Settings > Customization > Integration.
  2. Click External Change Types.
  3. Click to select the External Change Type.
  4. Click Edit Field.
  5. Edit the Value.
  6. Click Submit.
    The yellow Your changes have been saved pop up opens and closes.
    If you click away from the Customization page without clicking Submit, your changes will not save.

 

Sort External Change Types

Sort Manually

Sorting External Change Types manually does not currently change anything in Plutora.

Refresh your browser to sort manually after sorting alphabetically. 

To sort External Change Types manually:

  1. Go to Settings > Customization > Integration.
  2. Click External Change Type.
  3. Hover your mouse cursor over the sort column.
    The sort handle (six gray dots) appears.
  4. Left click and drag the sort handle to resort the External Change Type.
  5. Click Submit.
    The yellow Your changes have been saved pop up opens and closes.
    If you click away from the Customization page without clicking Submit, your changes will not save.

Sort by Column Header

Sorting External Change Types by column header only changes their order on the Customization page.

To sort alphabetically on the Customization page by column header:

  1. Go to Settings > Customization > Integration.
  2. Click External Change Type.
  3. Click a column header.
    The External Change Types will revert to their previous order when you click away from the Customization page.

 

Delete an External Change Type

Deleting an External Change Type will not delete it from Plutora. But it will no longer be available when creating a new Change.

To delete an External Change Type:

  1. Go to Settings > Customization > Integration.
  2. Click External Change Type.
  3. Click to select the External Change Type.
  4. Click Delete Field.
  5. Click Submit.
    The yellow Your changes have been saved pop up opens and closes.
    If you click away from the Customization page without clicking Submit, your changes will not save.
